Meet the Fellows That Have Matched With Us
Please join in congratulating our residents who successfully matched to fellowship programs today. We are incredibly proud of both of them and share in their excitement!
- Dr. Isabel Beshar – GYN ONC at MD Anderson
- Dr. Wendy Zhang – REI at Stanford
We are thrilled to welcome our new OBGYN fellows, as this is a significant milestone in their careers. We also want to express our deepest gratitude to everyone involved in the recruitment process, especially our coordinators, whose dedication ensured a smooth and successful endeavor.
As we begin this new chapter, we are optimistic about the future of our field. These incoming fellows will bring fresh perspectives, innovation, and a passion that will undoubtedly enhance our program and patient care.
Complex Family Planning
Neha Thawani, MD, joins us from Michigan, where she is completing residency at Henry Ford Health Center in Detroit, after medical school at Michigan State. She is an active local advocate for reproductive health as a delegate to the Michigan State Medical Society, the Chief of Medical Student Education at Henry Ford Health, and the ACOG Michigan Section Chair. She is pursuing a complex family planning fellowship because “CFP providers exemplify the transformative power of specialized training and a steadfast commitment to addressing reproductive disparities. I aim to help confront systemic barriers and champion comprehensive reproductive care in my community.”
Zarah Rosen, MD, joins us from residency at University of Massachusetts after medical school in Nevada. She is a local advocate for reproductive justice as a member of the Massachusetts Medical Society and worked on clinic inclusivity counsel for LGBTQ+ patients, along with being her residency’s advocacy chief. Rosen is pursuing fellowship because, "throughout residency, the most meaningful and rewarding patient interactions have been those in which patients realize and actualize their power in making decisions about their health. I am motivated to help fill the abortion care gap in healthcare which is quickly becoming a vast chasm.”
