Research

  • Bertha Chen, MD
Research examining the molecular causes of urinary incontinence and pelvic floor dysfunction. Recognizing that urinary incontinence linked to demise of smooth muscle sphincter function, Dr. Chen is investigating the potential use of stem cell regeneration to restore muscle capacity.
  • Eric Sokol, MD
Research focused on the development and testing of novel minimally invasive treatment modalities for complex pelvic floor disorders.

Lisa Rogo-Gupta, MD

Research interests include prolapse and incontinence surgery outcomes on both institutional and national levels and the impact of surgical volume on outcomes. Dr. Rogo-Gupta has a particular interest in a multi-disciplinary approach to women’s healthcare.
